Billy King

Joe Q. Public (re: Stephen A.) is at again...

- "Billy King shouldn't be picking the players; he hasn't done a good job this far, why would we trust him?"

- "The rest of the division is going to be better than the 76ers for the next 3 years"

I'm not a Billy King fluffer, but I'm not a hater. He's got the roster set up for flexibility. The Knicks and Celtics are not built to withstand a big injury. Jason Kidd and Vince Carter will not be healthy in 24 months...Kidd might get traded. I like Toronto's roster but they need improved guard play to be a problem.

He got Willie Green, Kyle Korver, and Louis Williams in the second round. He got Randolph and Amdunson off the scrap heap. He got a real PG in here (yes, he could have made a better deal, but Marcus Camby is just salary cap weight and will take a younger players minutes).

Tell me what you would have done differently? What if everyone we have just keeps getting better? You can acquire players

An ESPN roundup of NBA writers had some nice things to say about our team...these guys don't get fooled as a group all the time do they?

bro the list of BK's mistakes is so long that a comment isn't enough

he tried a new direction starting from the Iverson trade, let's see where he (and his choices) can take us. I will be patient this year

SAS article wasn't that bad, except for the sad, negative, typical philadelphian conclusion that really irked me

Well, there's a reason for the sad, negative, typical philadlephian conclusion, it's usually the right one.

And the guys you mention, they are OK, but the rest of the NBA isn't really interested in any of our players not named Andre. There's a reason why we couldn't trade up at all.

Drafting Carlos Boozer in the second round is genius. The Sixers second round picks are "Just OK"

Billy King has a problem with asset management. He puts too much weight into things that are "Just OK."

I mean we had three OK draft picks, whe have a dozen OK swingmen.

The "plan" billy talks about isn't a guarantee the sixers will be competitive in the next few years.

And you really have to be nervous, because the link of "nice things to say" uses the word to describe them as "mismanaged."
