He's better than me

Every time I think I take sports seriously, I always find out there are 5 people who know and care a lot more than I do. And that's ok.

Having said that, Bill Simmons wrote a great column about the Tim Donaghy today.

Doesn't it seem like the 2000 playoff run followed some of these same themes?

"Point Guards" by Bill Simmons (The Sports Guy)

I dug up this column from The Sports Guy written in 2001 regarding Point Guards...I think that you can put Lou Williams and Andre Miller in his thesis and see where it takes their careers.

The Sixers are off to Utah from Vegas, and no one got arrested while in Vegas. Which is good.

D.A.

Is it just me or is it a treat to have David Aldridge writing about the hometown 15? He did a great job this morning of summing up where Billy King is.

Mr. Snider showed faith in Paul Holmgren...it seems to be paying off. Because of the nature of the beast, King's rebuilding should take about 2 years, but the results MUST be evident or he'll start to feel the heat in the one way Mr. Snider will pay attention to - season tickets and luxury boxes revenue.

Also, Bill Simmons is doing a podcast; great chat with Rick Bucher about what the NBA is all about in 2007.
